WAYS TO GIVE

Looking For a Meaningful Way to Give Back?

Supporting Indigenous Friends Association is one way to help create more opportunities for Indigenous community members to learn, build digital skills, connect with Indigenous mentors, and explore future pathways in technology.

There are many ways to get involved, whether you make a donation today, become a monthly donor, give through your workplace or organization, or plan a gift for the future. Choose the way to give that feels right for you.

Ways You Can Help

Why Your Support Matters!

Systemic barriers to technology education and employment, including access to digital infrastructure, training opportunities, geographic barriers, and pathways into the sector, continue to contribute to the underrepresentation of Indigenous Peoples in Canada's technology workforce.

Indigenous Peoples in Canada are 70% less likely than non-Indigenous people to work in tech, with just 1.4% of employed Indigenous Peoples working in technology occupations.

At the same time, technology careers offer significant economic opportunity, with Canadian tech workers earning an average of $40,000 more per year than workers in other fields.

Your support helps create more opportunities for Indigenous community members to access digital learning, build practical skills, learn alongside Indigenous mentors, and explore where those skills can take them next.

For some participants, that can mean discovering a new creative skill or building a portfolio. For others, it can mean continuing their education, gaining real-world experience through a paid internship, or exploring a new career pathway.

By supporting IFA, you help keep these opportunities free and accessible to Indigenous community members across Canada!

“In my time with IFA, I have discovered a newfound passion for tech I didn't know existed. When I

signed on with "IndigiTech," I just wanted to learn how to work from home, and with the continuous support

from the mentors, I have grown in ways I never thought possible! I have never experienced an educational

program that uniquely combines modern advanced skill development while honoring cultural and traditional

practices. IFA is truly a blessing to Indigenous communities!! “
